Integrating your Xtra Mail in Outlook helps enhance your email management with one of the most popular email clients that is already on your computer. If you would like to set up the Xtra Mail in Outlook, first, please launch Outlook and click on the 'File' tab. Click on the ‘Add Account’ option in the Account setup and the ‘Manually configure server settings’ option. Type in your Xtra email and, in the lower corner of the form, select ‘Advanced options’ then tick the checkbox near ‘Let me set up my account manually’. Hit Connect and you will be asked to choose the account type; select IMAP for accessing emails among all devices connected with the email account.
In the case of Xtra Mail, such settings will be needed. The IMAP server imap.xtra.co.nz will accept incoming mail on port 993 with an SSL option. The SMTP server send.xtra.co.nz has outgoing ports 465 and 587 under SSL security. In the field for 'user name', type in your entire email address ending with xtra.co.nz. Click 'Next' to move on, and 'Test Account Settings' will be automatically executed by Outlook. If successful, Xtra Mail will now be configured on Outlook, and you shall be sending and receiving emails using your Xtra account. If you are having some problems, check your settings or apply for help from Xtra Mail Customer Support.
