How to Set Up Bigpond Email in Microsoft Outlook

In this case, if you are worried about how to add your Bigpond email account to the Microsoft Outlook application, you shouldn’t, as the process is rather simple and you will be able to read and control your transactional emails using the Outlook application. First, start by launching Outlook and selecting File from the toolbar. Next, click on ‘Add Account’ in order to proceed with the configuration of the application. Input your Bigpond email address in the email box (user@bigpond.com) and click ‘Connect’. When it comes to setting up your account settings automatically, Outlook will do so, even though you might have to set your servers up yourself. When setting up the incoming mail server, be sure to set up IMAP with the following information: Incoming mail server as IMAP: imap.telstra.com Port: Use 993 and enable SSL/TLS encryption.
